From PDF to brief in three steps

    1

    Drop the PDF

Choose a PDF, TXT or Markdown file, or paste text. The document stays on your side until you press Summarize, and nothing needs an account.

    2

    AI reads every page

Text is pulled out with its page markers, split into bounded parts when long, then summarized part by part and merged into one coherent brief.

    3

    Keep the brief

Switch between one line, a one-minute brief and the full version, then copy it as Markdown or download it as a .md or .txt file.

Anatomy of a good PDF summary

A useful summary is not a shorter copy of the text. It is a structured brief you can scan, check and act on.

    1
    TL;DR
One sentence that states the document's main conclusion, so you can decide in seconds whether to read on.
    2
    Page references
Each key point carries a pill such as p. 4, taken from page markers in the extracted text, so you can verify the source.
    3
    Figures and dates
Numbers, deadlines and named amounts are pulled into a table instead of being buried in prose.
    4
    Depth levels
A single AI call returns one line, a one-minute brief and a full brief, so switching depth is instant.

    Frequently asked questions

Is the AI PDF summarizer free?

Yes. You can summarize PDFs, TXT and Markdown files or pasted text for free and without registering. Copy and download actions are included.

How long can my PDF be?

Files up to 20 MB are accepted. Long text is split into bounded parts, each part is summarized, and the results are merged. The card tells you how many parts were used.

    Are page references accurate?

References come from page markers in the extracted text, so they usually point to the right page. Treat them as a guide and verify important claims in the source.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

Scanned PDFs without a text layer may extract poorly or return no text. If extraction is empty, you will see a notice; paste the text manually instead.

    Is my file stored?

This tool does not save your file or summary. Extracted text is sent to the AI provider only to generate the brief, and the result lives in your browser until you reset.
